“'Tracing Toxic Metals in the Environment: New insights on transformation, immobilization and transport using Cr, Hg, U and Se isotope ratios””

      – by Tom Johnson, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Tom is Professor and Department Head, Department of Geology in the School of Earth, Society and Environment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He's an environmental and isotope geochemist concerned with the fate of redox-sensitive contaminants in ground water and surface water systems and redox history of the oceans and atmosphere. He received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 1995, post-doc'ed at LBL before assuming a faculty position at UIUC.
